The World Is Not Our Friend
The world doesn't stop for us,
It's not our friend.
Pulls us into it's core,
We're addicts left to depend.
The wind still blows
And rain still dries.
While we lie in hospital beds alone,
Watching our bodies die.
And as death sings us to sleep,
Closer to amends.
The world doesn't like us,
It's not our friend.
