The World Is Not Lost

The faces full of dark ,
like the eyes of a prisoned lark .

Not a drop of tear to be found
in the cold-blooded eyes , frozen though round .
Freedom is not free , it has a cost .

So look around you ,
and feel the lifeless crew .
The world as it is , is completely lost .

The sun never shines ,
doesn't free the world from vines ,
all cold and frost .

Corruption is an epidemic ; it destroys the world .
But the silver-lining will shine , everything will take a fold .
For the Saviour will come ; the world is still not lost .

I liked the rhyme scheme, though it is of 14 lines, it cannot be called a sonnet. The reflection of the real world assumed to be illusion is astonishingly outsmarted, which makes the poem more charming and a much expected poetry indeed. - Rudyard Jostle.
