The World Has Changed

The world seemed much kinder when I was younger.
Love, peace, understanding, along with world hunger.
These days the same concepts seem rather strange,
Everything's gone,the world has changed...........
Fearless and strong the words were quite bold,
Hope that I die, before I get old.
Try to buy back the soul that I sold.
The summer's are hotter, the winter winds cold.
When something was wrong people spoke up.
Now nothing is left,to drink from life's cup.
Compassion has been replaced by so much greed.
That we can't see the difference between what we want or we need.
Rob from the poor to give to the rich,
Moral's decayed,life is a *****.
If you don't like what we think,we'll just start a war,
I can't even imagine what the future has in store.
I know if we don't stop, there will be nothing to save.
It seems like we're riding the crest of the wave.
Soon it will crash, then the castle's will crumble,
Just like the fall will follow the stumble.
These days the concepts seem rather strange,
Everything's gone, the world has changed.......
