The Wonderful World of Creative Writing
Most people think of creative writing, as belonging almost exclusively to the genre of the world, of fictional writing. When in fact any writing involving both skill and imagination. Might loosely fit into its classification. Take magazine and especially newspaper publications. The print media follows the four W's and one H. "Who, what, where, when, why and how." is the premises they strictly adhere to. Even in the most basic and elementary journalism.
The news broadcast over radio and television and social media. Rely mainly upon audio and video. Radios broadcasts uses more descriptions. And leaves more to the imaginations. Exclusive for its very own listening audiences.
Many earlier television shows had preexistence radio programs. Such as the Lone Ranger for example. Not to mention: the Adventures of Superman and Zero. The Invisible Man and The Shadow. Including Rod Sterling's The Twilight Zone.
Television and social media rely upon eye witness accounts by reporters and journalists. But it also involves frequent repetition of actual events. As long as the items remain newsworthy and captive their audience. It also involves interpretation of those news' flashes. They are usually in the brief time capsuled format. They are the pure brevity and brevity examples of creative writing.
The social media and the internet rely upon its paid subscribers. Many newspapers and magazines also have internet access. Usually requiring paid subscriptions and paid for advertisements. Advertisements require more upon creative writing than the print media. Their sole focus is to promote their products, contests, and services. Take for example online security. If people are not careful. They can follow my bad example of over paying for too many services.
They rely upon what is called in psychological terminology as, "subliminal suggestions." Focusing on the human subconscious mind. Used to promote
Their products/ and our services.
Advertisements require creative writing and imagination. Day time serials were called soap operas. Because laundry detergents products. Were used before, during and after their programs. Without paid for advertisements. Current programs might not be available for to their listening and viewing audiences for instance.
