The Woes of Rheumatoid

I got up once again in the middle of the night to take another required pee,
I looked down and saw a bit of blood from the kidneys dying inside of me,
This morning I felt weak and felt a strange sensation below my waist,
My bowels were moving to quickly and I had to run with great haste.

I then proceeded to climb the steps to go outside for that dreaded smoke,
My right knee was barely functioning and felt like it was twisted or broke,
I try to pick up my daughter but my hands begin to hurt and become a claw,
My joints are always so sore and my organs have now become a flaw.

Dawn Gordon Date: 4/7/2011 10:23:00 PM so I got a few rounds, and noticed my sugar dropped over night..I saw patterns..that every morning I needed juice..so I said screw this I am not spending that money..the strips probably cost the company about 20 cents.. Login to Reply

Dawn Gordon Date: 4/7/2011 10:22:00 PM then they try to make it sound like a gifting right, I got the checker for free. this is the catch...the company will give you the monitor at no cost..the doctor writes the prescription for the monitor. you take that prescription in and only buy the strips..the monitor remains yours, so you think you get this great gift..to find out 120 a month to keep up with it..and you can not get the monitor free the first time unless you buy the first round of strips.. Dawn Gordon Date: 4/7/2011 10:18:00 PM so now you know how much diabetics pay to test their blood, and some people need to do it like 6 times a day..yup..I am supposed to do it 3-4...like morning, lunch, evening andbefore bed is the usual routine for diabetics and low sugar like me Login to Reply

Dawn Gordon Date: 4/7/2011 10:12:00 PM your sugar is supposed to be about 5...under three you can get into a coma..God sent nurses in the paliative care unit to my dads room..what a miracle..sent by God..I was complaining of feeling light headed and weird right...to my dad..and a few nurses who came in..the miracle was God must have whispered to their spirits to check the blood..out they go to get the monitor...they check it I get a reading of a 2, under 3 you can go in coma Login to Reply

Dawn Gordon Date: 4/7/2011 10:11:00 PM your welcome..yeah tough times with rheumatoid..I also have sugar issues..low sugar..and I refuse to pay one dollar a strip for testing..one buck for one strip..I need about 3-4 a day..120 bucks a month for strips to test blood is ridiculous..I am hypoglecimic?? is that how it is said..I came down with it in 2004 when I did paliative care..stress brings that hypo condition and sometimes it remains Login to Reply

Dawn Gordon Date: 4/6/2011 3:40:00 PM I wish I could help you by calling that hospital..I get my phone line through my landlord..what i do is buy long distance calling cards to make long distance calls..the feature is removed from the phone..which actually does not bother me because i can pay better attention to how much I spend..and currently no card in the house..so sorry..I usually pick one up for 50-100 dollars and it lasts a few months, i need another one Login to Reply

Dawn Gordon Date: 4/6/2011 12:46:00 PM ever been to a hospital? they enter all your info..they probably use procura..probably..procura is more used then Gold care..all your patient info, all of it is entered..that is what I know and do..then our health care system via government needs to be billed..OHIP..doctors send it to our government..admin takes care of that for doctors and hospitals..that is how docs are paid here OHIP Login to Reply

Dawn Gordon Date: 4/6/2011 12:43:00 PM almost every night I get up to go pee..but I am very active, very..it helps to be active...and even though I am on disability, I am waiting for an internship, and job search in between,,,the wait is so long for the internship that I began job searching again..like sit down admin...but I did apply for cash..do not know how well I will do that with the leg, but willing to do it for my kid, I am a medical admin..those are the programs I know best..OHIP billing etc.. Dawn Gordon Date: 4/6/2011 12:40:00 PM oh thanks that is my life you are reading..it is not like that everyday..other then my right leg..the leg is daily,..but Thank the good lord the bowels are not LOL..but the pee thing is almost nightly..but blood is not in it all the time..it is because my kidneys are beginning to waste away...but I go out, walk, swim, dance..yup..holy spirit helps heal...and I do not overload on narcotic pain relief..mothering etc..
