Listen to poem:
The Witness of Daybreak David J Walker I I am guilty of such foolishness As waiting for the first rays Of the dawn On the cusp of a calm Spring morning All alone II I atone again And again waiting For them The loved ones to begin To come home III We are ghosts Intruding On the current living In a house that was Once ours IV While some unknow theirs Who stop and stare back Into the obis Wondering if it is us And Of course it Who else V I am guilty of seeking pleasures Over The satisfactions of Hard work Such foolishness the witness to The breaking of The day
