The Wishes I Keep To Myself

My wishes fill me, The seeds of my wishes lay stagnant in my mind, They blossom in my heart, I wish you could see them, I wish you could fulfill them, I don’t wish on stars, The sky is full of other people’s wishes, I wish I hadn’t told you my wishes, You try to make them come true, But they’re unreachable, They’re ridiculous, They’re unnecessary, I feel guilty for wishing, For wanting, But you make my wishes grow, You water them, You shed light on them, And it’s like sunlight, You nurture them until they’ve bloomed into beautiful realities, And I realize that everyone needs someone to encourage their wishes.
