The Wish of a Falling Star

The eclipse of the moon, Shines brightly thru my window. Falling snow brings calm and, Serenity in my heart and soul. A vision of fresh laden snow on the ground, Reminds me of the days of yesteryear. The best feeling is seeing the first, Foot prints in the snow, mine. I look up to the skies above, As I see a star that shines, Like none other changing time and space. The star races across the sky. A wish of a lifetime never experienced. I am mesmerized as I make a wish. A wish of this galaxy hoping, Someone is listening. Then as if a dream I notice, A second star blue as the ocean, Racing beside the other. They dip towards me and, Continue across the sky. Making me believe, Wishes do come true.

Yes always wish on the brightest star and your wish will come true. Thanks so much. I remember my years in Arizona looking always for that one special star. I never have caught up to it yet, still looking. Hugs. Shirley.

This is so beautiful and uplifting. What a descriptive and touching write this is. I especially love “ A second star blue as the ocean” the ending and also how you’ve painted imagery of a shooting star and making a wish upon them. Just lovely. Pleasure reading your work. Sending you light always

Thank you so much for your comment. I've always had this special relationship with the stars, clouds and the moon. Another poem, The star and the cloud, is published in an anthology book. I'm so glad you enjoyed my poem. Thank you.
