The Winter Effect
As I ambled down the snow-white
pathway,
I noticed the bitter winter on that
cold-riddled day.
I saw buildings enclosed by snow,
that partly shielded me from the
sky's dull glow.
I feIt numbness on my fingers
arising,
while marching through the violent
winds without compromising.
I smelt the sweet scent of coffee
brewing,
oh, how enticed my nostrils were
that morning!
I heard the sound of trees whistling,
and the haste of feet staggering.
As snow piled on the sidewalks like
heavenly glitter,
this reassured the presence of
winter.
