the wingless gift

born into this world
                   this
magnificence of nature’s gifts
he has stolen many a heart

he has a smile that lights up
           the darkest of days
his eyes
         sparkle
                more
                    then
      the brightest star
           this
     angel without wings

          this
     sweet innocent one

   taming the wild beasts

like an angel brought down from heaven
 with the innocence of virtue

sending treasures of silver and gold
their gifts of jewels
                                  lighting
                              the dark world
