When the world is so sad Even to the point of being mad The smile has been misplaced As a frown has come in it's placed No more happiness Nothing but sadness I digress While in distress We sing The whole world needs a clown When there is no one else around He will do something funny Take away your frown The whole world needs a clown No more happiness Nothing but sadness I digress While in distress We sing The world is horribly in pain Drowning with in it's shame Count your blessings hold you breath Hold your chin and head up you are blessed No more happiness Nothing but sadness I digress While in distress We sing The whole world needs a clown When there is no one else around He will do something funny Take away your frown The whole world needs a clown 11/07/75 written words & arranged music by James Edward Lee & the Corinthian

A catchy title, fun flow and interesting concept, James Edward Lee. I wonder though if the clown's wide ruby-red grin might also be a facade and hide inner sadness!
