The White Rabbit Search
The White Rabbit Search
Dedicated to Alice...
She wanders through life
Searching for a white rabbit.
Asking every stranger
She happens to pass.
But no one has seen it-
They don't have time to look
For white rabbits anymore.
She travels on
To different countries,
Still asking the same question,
"Has anyone seen
A white rabbit hop by?"
No one knows.
They don't really care.
Then one day she returns home
To find a carrot
On the other side of the mirror.
"Dear me. I can not seem to reach it,"
She pouts, "My hand can not go through glass."
So she tosses her fist
As hard as she can,
And shatters the mirror to pieces.
The carrot disappears, and
She now has seven years bad luck.
"Still," She sighs, "I'd rather
Have bad luck, and find my rabbit,
Then no luck at finding my rabbit at all."
And her search continues.
One night she dreams she saw him hop by
As she was walking her children to school.
The next night she dreams,
He hopped over her grave.
And the next night she dreams...
He was GOD.
No one really knows
If she found her white rabbit.
But they say she is very happy
Living in some burrow on the hill,
With three fuzzy children
That keep her hopping around the house.
