The White Falling Snow
It falls, falls through the barren trees
It attacked with its silent warning
It falls for everyone awake to see
And brightens an otherwise dismal morning
Softly, yes softly it settles with ease
No noise it makes with its descent
Falling straight as there’s no breeze
Which really adds a nice compliment
Falling, still falling as white now covers all
The black of the wet bark shines on the trees
As the whiteness continues it earthly fall
And whiteness is all we now see
Gingerly, tenderly falling, yes falling
No sound as stealth now has control
The sight is refreshed and not appalling
Perhaps I may soon have a snow casserole
White, yes white is the ground and surroundings
And still it filters slowly to earth
Maybe, just maybe spring will soon be resounding
It falls, falls through the barren trees
It attacked with its silent warning
It falls for everyone awake to see
And brightens an otherwise dismal morning
