The Wet Cat

Cat
Shining,
Eyes in rain;
Wild, wet, furry;
Coat.

Shake.
Drops spray,
Fur drying,
Paws next to plate;
Eat.

Full
Stomach,
Warm and dry,
Purring on bed,
Sleep.

Wind
Blowing,
Rain falling,
Go out again?
Scat!

I am allergic to cats, but have been around them all my life. Your poem describes them very well.

It is Sandy after he has been outside in a storm - but that's okay - I don't understand the rating system!

A very cute, well-written Lanterne poem, Cecelia! I love cats and can identify with each stanza! 7 Hugs, Sandra
