The Welcoming World of Hell

The Welcoming World Of Hell

Dark crimson flowers surround pillars of black
Gold emblazoned gates hang loosely on rusted hinges
They open to welcome the newly deceased
They will allow you to enter but never leave
A castle stands in the centers watching
Its windows and doors looking like evil incarnate
It waits to swallow anyone who dares comes too close
No warm welcoming light awaits those sent to this place
The promises made during life are of no matter here
There is no ever-lasting paradise waiting for the faithful
All that awaits is the coldness of death and ever-lasting torment
The silence is ripped by sounds of unbearable anguish
Echoing through rock strewn chasms they fall on nothing
Anyone who would have cared long ago gave up on hope
They sit in despair praying for even a moment of hope
Pain and tortures, fire and smoke is the world of Hell
And it welcomes anyone and everyone

The pictures and anguished cries you paint with your words swirls one in fiery torment. Your poetry never fails but to stir my inner soul.
