The Weeping Housewife
Another load of ironing
Another meal to make.
I wish we’d all stop dining
So I need not cook or bake.
Another room needs cleaning.
Another floor to sweep.
My life has lost it’s meaning.
I feel so sad, I weep.
But there are rays of sunshine,
With songbirds in the flowers.
And on these sights my mind will dine.
I’ll be happy within hours.
