The Ways of the Ants

Kings reign in their palaces
to lead
Farmers in farm
to weed

Observe the ants in need
Though a uniquely enormous breed
They labour not for greed
At heart they’ve agreed
None will go, for food plead
They sought not to impede
Neither none to exceed

By the second, minute...
...they ‘ll knead
In all of our efforts
to proceed
In self-glory we fought
to succeed

Once again see the ants in deed
As a force they wholly concede
Seeking to serve with speed
All’s longing they’ll heed
If it’ll take them to bleed
They all will not reced
Until all are freed.
