The Way We Were:

The way we were, and the way we are. There is nothing so close, and nothing so far. The touch of your skin, the feeling within. The flow of your hair, the way that you care. No longer you're near, my heart fills with fear. No longer we touch, These feelings too much. What happened to us, once driven by lust. Once lovers for life, now lovers in strife. A look of regret, our future now set. Together no more, I shall miss us before. When we both were one, like the moon and sun. But all things must change, but one still remains. What we had was true, and this we both knew. And there shall never again, be a lover or friend. As close to my heart, like you were in the start. So farewell my love, keep looking above. And maybe one day, see a star that strays. And land it may, too close to say. And find us again, as we were once when. Together at last, as we were in the past. /|\

When I was very young I had such a one I loved, I call him 'my little one'. I think I will never see him again, but I will never forget him. He is etched into my soul.
