The Way To Someone's Heart

Roses lose their petals
While chocolate makes you fat,
And sexy pieces of lingerie
Displays all of that.

Romantic get-a-ways
Cost too much money,
And diamonds are only beautiful
As long as your name is honey.

Every card of love
Ultimately ends up in the trash,
As cuddly stuffed animals
Join a collective stash.

Dinner for two
Serves an anxious crowd,
And tools or appliances
Are clearly not allowed.

Perfumes and cologne
Release a fading scent,
But the gift of love
Isn’t the money you’ve spent.

The way to someone’s heart
On valentine’s day,
Is to say I love you
In your own creative way.
