The Way It Is

The sun moved gracefully over the horizon. As it lowered slowly into the deep blue abyss, you could hear the birds chirping as the colors burst in the evening sky. The eyes of people around me lit up, almost like they are seeing a puppy for the first time. That feeling of awe could be felt all over. The happy faces and of course the though of everyone living in harmony, not a single sense of hatred or dislike, just the feeling of forgiveness and acceptance. Of course though, that is not always the case. There is always going to be misunderstanding, wars and a imperfect union. As sad as it is we are not perfect. There will always be conflict but when you think about it that is what drives us to make this world better. Without this, where do you think we would be?

Hey Nicole, stopped by for a visit. This is a great introspective poem; written with deep thought and consideration. A subject that evokes serious contemplation also that the way it is may not always be the way it should be. Well done!! Be Blessed, Neva
