The Way Boys Love Pretty Girls
I know he loves me...
But he loves me the way
Boys love pretty girls-
The way they love
Cute and fun and nice
Girls-
How can they not?
But I love him the way
A lonely girl loves a boy
That makes her feel
Wanted-
The way a girl afraid
Of everything
Loves a boy
That makes her feel
Brave-
The way a girl
With a mind that
Is always a thousand
Places at once, always
Too many places-
At once-
Loves a boy...
Because when
He touches me,
I can't think-
He loves me the way
A boy loves a girl
But could still
Walk away
Unscathed-
I love him anyway.
The way
He looks at me...
How he smiles...
Is so beautiful.
