The Way 2

Words in e-ink
Suffocate dry throat;
Waiting to emerge

~~~~~~~~~
Adopt that happy stance
Look cheery just for now;
Appease prompt bluff
~~~~~~~~~

Books for the journey
To look and see and glimpse;
Suspect sheer gravity

~~~~~~~~~
In my dreamy glimpse
My mother smiles a sigh;
Familiar territory
~~~~~~~~~

In another dream
My father says to me:
"What you need is a beer."

~~~~~~~~~
Too many dreams of late
Broken record-player;
Soundless music affairs
~~~~~~~~~

I learn to know
The truth somehow;
Who can be so sure?

~~~~~~~~~
Facial salon spa
My darling finds meaning;
Revitalized countenance
~~~~~~~~~

Upgraded old mall
Facelift sparks a blitz;
Crowded escapades

~~~~~~~~~
Look beyond just looks
Rearrange sure bias;
Look with eyes made new
~~~~~~~~~
