The Watcher Deep Within

The Watcher

The watcher watches
from deep within
the forest as a I
walk down the trail.

He is silently treading along the
path above where I am.

My skin is on edge the feeling
of being watched raises the
hair on my arms and back of
my neck.

He dashes in front of my path,
reveling a beautiful grey wolf.
I realize this wolf has haunted
my dreams.

He beckons me to follow and I do.
I see he takes me deeper into the forest.
to a big giant oak which is his din.

His pups were within.
He showed me his
dedication to his family.
As he played whimsically
 with the pups.

As a I walked away from the
den I realized one thing
remains.

Family. The importants of family.
That is what stuck in my heart.
There nothing can ever take
the place of family.

Beautifully written. Did you mean to say 'to a big giant oak which is his den' instead of din? Just wondering
