The Watcher
Alone I sit in silence
I contemplate life in all its violence
As I gather my cloak of shadows
In quiet contemplation of my reservations
On human kindness
Alone I sit in darkness
Surrounded by a bleakness
I consider life and its weakness
Is it worth my attention will I find redemption?
In the human heart?
Alone I sit in the cold
And I am totally enthralled
By the wrongs humanity inflicts
On each other, thine own brother and thy lover
All for your own gain
Alone I sit in this void
And I conclude humanity is devoid
Of the very things it claims are free
No love, no kindness and no loyalty
So I move on
