The Wasted Years
The Wasted Years
The time I spent away from you
Wandering through my life
So little light to show the way
I stumbled and I fell
Picked up the pieces
And arose
Tried to do it on my own
Couldn't find my way
My pride to guide me
Bruised and beaten
Lost my joy
until one day....
The light grew strong
and I could not escape
it shone on me
and showed the way
back to my peaceful home
I found my way back to you Lord
only to regret
It could have been so good
Loves pure light
has caused me to forget
the wasted years!
