The Wars of Men

This is a desolate place
The horizon road is red

This is a desperate place
The floor is of the dead

This is a sombre place
The light is pale, grey and spent

This is a lonely space
Where peace will never trend

This is the afterlife where the light
of the sun will never blend

This is what’s left of lives

Lives sacrificed for the wars of men.
