The Warning

One day she appeared
And hasn’t since disappeared
She gave a word of warning since repeated
In a manner that was not well greeted
Some laughed it off with words that were expletives

The warning she had was for the everyone
Suddenly the warning ended as it had begun
And she disappeared from the screen
That left us wondering what did it all mean

When I woke the next day
With a strange feeling that wouldn’t go away
As I walked to the rear yard basking in the sun
The light and warmth faded for everyone.
