The War On Covid19

We were all blissfully unaware Of what was about to occur Covid 19 came onto the scene And the rest is just a blur The virus spreads its fury Through the darkness we survive Doing all we can right now To try and stay alive In these dark and dismal hours We should think and feel for others We are all in this together We’re all sisters and brothers So let’s all pull together We have to fight this thing When the worst is over Who knows what that will bring The virus spreads its fury Through the darkness we survive Doing all we can right now To try and stay alive People rally round to help It brings out the best in some We all try to stay positive Until this war is won Never in our lifetime Have we had to deal with this We can’t have physical contact No hugs or loving kiss Too many people are dying Too many loved ones are lost We are all at risk now Soon we’ll be counting the cost NHS staff are all fantastic They all go that extra mile Tending to the dying and sick With compassion and a smile Parents are home schooling children Some people are working from home Thanks to today’s technology Helping those that are on their own Drastic measures are taken To stop Covid 19 in its track Stay safe at home and save lives We don’t want this virus back Through the poverty and hardship Each battle that’s won is our gain One thing we can be certain of Is someday we’ll all meet again

Nicely done! WHO announced COVID-19 was a pandemic and 9-months later Bojo gives birth to the idea it really is a pandemic which must be contained. Good luck with that! Aloha! Rico n.b. my late wife was a Griffiths from Pont-y-pridd
