The War: a Lifetime Long

This is everything we've ever been taught A lesson learned is a lesson more or less forgotten With the weight of your world, the hum of your tune Everything is over all to soon With a crack of a whip it all turns slow when everywhere we've been is everywhere we'll go We bellow and bask and things gone wrong this is more or less hearing; not listening to the song The more you give, the more they take And the gift in return? a smile, the essence of fake. The gift of life, not the job or task is a gift from the future, the present, the past It's a beautiful tempest a song Life long.
