The Wannabe Gods

With no good reason or excuse
Billionaires waste wealth and let loose
While earth goes awry
They'll float on a fly by
So Bezos can seem to be Zeus


Author's comment: M I impressed? Not at all. It only goes to show what small minds they have. You couldn't pay me to go his rocket either--even if it is the best money can buy. What is wrong with these people?

L Milton Hankins July 15, 2021 at 2:34 PM I ask myself that question, too, Duke. When they could spend their billions on say many beneficial ways, they fritter it away on wild pipedreams. I guess they plan to make money ferrying people up and back, but I won't be one of them. One of these days, one of those venture ships will explode and someone will lose their life for their folly. A prophesy! Duke Beaufort August 7, 2021 at 11:11 PM Yes, I suspect that someone will make a mistake or something unknown will occur and cause a fatal even. There are instances where the very rich go to extremes and it kills them. Taking a helicopter ride to the top of a mountain for extreme skiing, for example, has certain risks in the going up and going down. It's crazy indeed!!
