The Waltzing Duo
Tremor
Out of the void,
A whisper, a sound rises
A flock of swallows sudden flight
Echos
Upon
Hidden valleys
Reaching out, a fiddle
Its origin, just a riddle
Begins.
A step
Then a second
And the dance has begun
Two in step upon the cadence
Of waltz.
Duo,
Holding so close
An arm around the waist
A hand in a hand, eyes locked
They sway.
The birds'
Sudden return
Feeling safe and happy
For love has sprung in the valley
So green
Opened
Hidden no more
For the sun has risen
And smiles to the duo waltzing
As one.
