The Walk Toward Peace

Almighty Father make us understand
Your ways are holy and grand,
but Man's greed, vanity, and hate
have made towns and cities desolate.

The walk toward peace is always halted
as weapons destroy and kill without mercy;
fierce are the battles to defeat the enemy...
while the suffering of souls is a cry so loud.

There's no safe place to hide from missiles,
we must dig and build underground bunkers
to protect ourselves from a nuclear attack...
even the clouds above will turn raisin black.

The walk toward peace is the heaviest yoke
we carry on our shoulders hoping for an armistice;
all of us risk instant death from toxic smoke...
while fires will burn grass and trees covered with ice.

Almighty Father Your promise to Humankind is truly infallible
as the trust we have in You; make the nations tremble...
they will become greatly frightened and unable to fight
against the powerless and the meek: they'll fear Your might.
