The Walk To Sobriety

The Walk

Long hot desert
Empty of people
Not even a camel in sight
He clutched a euro coin
In his sweaty palm
He was left handed
 Wanted to buy
A glass of beer
Hatless he fainted
Belly up
 Awoke at sun-down
 A date palm
Clutching a coin
