The Waiting Game
It feels like I’m somewhere
Stuck in a foreign place
And I cling to a million days
Crammed in an invisible jar
Of my faithful wishes anchored
To one Star
I guess I am bound to stay
Even if the footsteps are unheard
Light years away
Because the jury of Divine will
Has done my heart a sealed deal
And I must agree to conform
As everything else in the Universe
Takes enough time to form
How do you wait without waiting
When we’re the world that can’t refuse wanting?
Should I become one of the sand grains lying ashore
And turning a blind eye to the ocean I adore?
Or am I actually the wind that leads the waves
To ebb and flow as much as we are both
Trying and then letting go?
