The Wait

He knocked on the wall
Searching seriously
Looking and lurking
At the entrance
Furiously but patienly
He waited for the wall
To crack....

The crack he saw
A benefit to him
The opening they gave
His own profit
The mouth of the wall
His reward...

The wall was too smooth
Not ready to crack
Nor ready to open up
Yet patiently he waited...
