The Voice of One

During the worst of times, America still represents freedom. With war, earthquakes floods and famine, we always will shape the world with our unification leaving an indelible impression. We as Americans are surrounded by beauty that constantly remains a mystery to those who cannot comprehend what beauty really is. We as Americans, during times of honor sacrifice our lives and put aside our needs to protect and defend our country, dutifully so. We as a union of freedom, complain about mere pittances that are simply forgotten the moment we walk out the door. The proper redemption of a coupon, the sale price from yesterday, or the waiting in line for a check out. Meanwhile, one country is digging through the rubble of an earthquake with people fearing the outcome of their loved ones. We like a flock of birds seem to frown upon the blessings of others, taking into mind the fact that someone else's break should have been ours. While others devoting their time, love and expertise to the lonely, elderly and the ill die alone with no one but themselves. We often refrain from seeing the beauty of others, not on the surface but within their souls, taking the time to realize that we were all put on this earth as soul searchers of not only ourselves, but others. We as Americans take each breath for granted, unable to realize that it refuels not only our bodies, but enables us to experience each moment better than the last. As we live the hours in a day, each hour may teach us that happiness relies on believing in its existence. The love of one another and the warmth of a family is a key to longevity. We the people possess the power and knowledge to do the right things and the good results will follow. The freedom we possess is our ticket to paradise, unfortunately it is taken so much for granted.
