The Voice of a Village Poet

by Parizo Van Thulare

Poetry is my life
For i will make it my wife
Together we will rise
And extend these lines
I rhyme when i like
I cry when i can't
I don't mind walking in the night
I don't care about writing without a light
As long as this pen is bleeding
Only then that i know life is hopeful for the living
Is in my veins
I like it when it rains
It is my remedy
It is my destiny
