The Vision
THE VISION
I woke up this morning, opened up my eyes
What I saw before me was quite a surprise.
I saw fields to harvest, all the earth below,
Souls that Jesus died for—they just had to know.
They cried, “Not tomorrow, for we know not when
We will enter death’s door, `twill be too late, then.”
I said, “I have talent, I can spread the word
Through my many outlines, and they will be heard.
I may never travel to lands far away,
But God still can use them in my place today.
I can pray for others who I’ve met in life
Going to a far land to preach Jesus Christ.
I can give to missions in a church-wide plan
Through “Faith Promise” offering every time I can.
I can place their prayer cards on my wall to see,
And I can remember how they spoke to me.
I can try to live for Him who died for me
So when I meet others Christ in me they’ll see.”
I saw quite a vision early on that day
Help me, Lord, remember, what I saw that way.
I know I’m not worthy; it’s all about YOU;
Give me, Lord, the courage to do what I should do.
