Your life on earth, though short or long, is like a note in an endless song. Live virtuously and make it count, So, you can live on like a fount. A virtuous life runs counter to, the natural drives that propel you. Beside desire, you need God’s aid, to get from Him, a passing grade. Ask God His Spirit to imbue, your life and all you say and do. Aim to be a beautiful soul, who uplifts those stuck in a hole. Do charity to those in need, give selflessly, make love your creed. Strive to be a good citizen, show care for those who round you sit. Look out for those who are distressed, caught in life’s troubles that oppress. Do what you can to ease the load, of those you meet along life’s road. Be constant, stand firm in the good. Live nobly as a Christian should. In danger’s face, be of clear mind, Don’t let fear paralyze and blind. Do what is right despite the price, be courageous and confront vice. Always be courteous, never rude, even to the uncouth and crude. Do your duty with diligence. Devote full focus and skill. Earnest, energetic effort lend, stay at the task until the end. Have empathy for those who hurt, Don’t be so curt and cut them short. Walk a mile with them in their shoes, it’s the path God will have you choose. Trust in God, let Him be your guide. When storms arise, in His love abide. Forgive those who cause harm to you. Let go of hurt, don’t let hate brew. Be generous and freely give, It’s the way God wants you to live. With gentle words and kindly ways, Bless and not curse, speak words of praise. Make gratitude a welcomed guest, host thankfulness within your breast. Live honestly in word and deed. Speak truthfully, and flee from greed. Be humble before man and God, remembering that you are flawed. Make principles your guide in life, and let God’s Word cut like a knife. Give others the regard they're due, Respect their rights, honor them too. Let kindness from your bosom flow, In every act, true caring show. Be devoted to your nation, Serve her goals with dedication. Honor its heroes, respect its past, work for its future, make it last. Live daily with a noble heart, make excellence a cherished art. Focus your mind on lofty goals, attempt great exploits in your roles. Wait patiently and peacefully. Let not hardships your calmness fleece. Press forward, defy daunting odds, as God directs and patience prods. Ask prudence to, her wisdom lend, to choose right means, for noble ends. To thine own self always be true, Be polite and respectful too. Think before you take an action, for this leads to satisfaction. Those who learn to act from reason, reap the best from every season. Learn the things that really matter, avoid the noise and endless chatter, that makes your mind unfit to ponder, and enjoy the gift of wonder. If you want to live with purpose choose a life that’s good and virtuous. This is the reason God made you, and placed in you His image too.
