The Vine Plant

Growing on the house Is a short vine plant Spreading on the brick Covering the side window Blocking all the sunshine Making the room of darkness The vine leaf is planted Along the wooden fence When it begins to grow Upwards on the fence Then calms down and relaxes Laying in the sun resting It grows so very slowly Stretching, crawling out further As far as it can go The latches onto a tree To spread out once more

I guess the vine is here to stay. I think it must be attractive growing on your house, covering the window seeing you let it remain.

Hello Alfred, I prefer the vine leaf to spread out on a fence. It looks so pretty there, and in the Fall the vine leaf turns red. I like it.But not covering the window. It would make the room look dark.

I love English Ivy. That stuff can crawl on any surface. I can see it now, growing on your fence. Lovely poem, Darlene:)

Hello Daniel, no not on this fence. My home in Wiartin where I use to live is where it was. It turned red in the Fall.

Very nicely done Darlene. I have a vine similar to this that I am always trimming away from the windows.

There is a house on the street where I live that has vines leaves along the window. They never trim it.

I like the vine leaf growing along the fence, it makes a dull fence look beautiful.
