The Victor's War

War
is sweet
victory!
We exposed their
weakness easily.
They were no real threat once
they realized that the fight
was done before their opened eyes.
Even if my win comes with their loss,
I can't shed a tear in front of the boss.

Bittersweet ending to a compelling poem, Brandee! Indeed, keep your tears to yourself if you are recruited to fight in a war. Very good write! Love, Carolyn

Interesting stuff. This poem can be interpreted in so many different ways and that's what makes it so intruiging. A good write

Perhaps your words did not get written the way you meant them to be or I am misunderstanding what you have written here. Love, Carol
