The Vanishing Elephant

In a world full of beauty and wonder
And the number of species that live
There is joy to be found
When the species abound
In the love and the comfort we give

But the joy that we feel is decreasing
By the loss of a kind, gentle friend
And the love that is not
For the elephant shot
Is a blot we must share in the end

For the elephant herds are decreasing
And their loss is the guilt we must share
For the world is diminished
By species that finished
For lack of more people who care.

Hello Bryan Norton, yes it is sad the the elephants are disappearing .What is more sadder is they are being killed for their tucks then left for dead. That is sad. Enjoy your day my friend.
