The Unpardonable Sin

A long time ago the devil rebelled, caused some of God's angels to go into Hell. He thought that he could be like God. His pride dug the pit that removed him from God. Now he goes around seeking whom he will to devour their souls, and their love for God to kill. There's not a day when he doesn't try to defeat God's purpose for you and I. God knew that we could never be, saved from our sins 'til He set us free. So, He sent Christ, His Son, to be crucified. Many years ago on the cross He died. Some people never believed in Him. Some never thought He could forgive sin. They didn't believe He could rise from the dead, but He was our blessed Savior as the scriptures said. He rose from His tomb on the third day, and when He did, took our sins away. He purchased us with His precious blood, just as He saved Noah from the flood. Because Jesus lives, we can talk to Him; because Jesus lives, we can walk with Him; because Jesus lives, we have a friend who accepts and loves us even when we sin. The devil has a powerful plan, but his spirit is eternally damned. One day he'll not see the light of God's day, for even he for his sins will pay. I feel sorry for the devil in a way. He had God's love, but he threw it away. If he'd done God's will he wouldn't be, separated from God for eternity. God will forgive us for anything, but the devil, with perfect knowledge, sinned. He grieved the Holy Spirit, turned his back on Him; and that's why God won't forgive his sin. He left God's Kingdom and chose his own way, and that is the reason God won't forgive him today. God leaves His door open wide for us. We are not angels. We are but dust. We have not the angel's grasp of Him, but we can learn to recognize and repent from our sin. The burning pit will be satan's end. for Eternity he will suffer for his sin. He rejected God's peace, God's love, God's way, and he will be rejected on Judgment Day. Janet Marie Bingham
