The Universe Winks

Statues rise and fall Empires stutter and stall Genius streaks 'cross the sky Leaves in its wake more 'Whys?' Mountains slowly erode Earth cracks, they implode The seas advance then recede A hiss of steam from icebergs freed The sun grows old, begins to expand Turns devil-red, scorches the land A mighty blast proclaims its twilight The universe winks ~ goodnight

I do not want to see or even think of a "tiny blast" let alone a "mighty blast" at this time.
