The Unclear Me

when I was walking down the street at 8pm, the beam from the streetlight seemed to be too dim that I wanted it to glow more luminous. But, when I got on my bed trying to doze off, it was too bright that I wished it was less bright. I guess I've got to decide how bright I want that light to be. But how do I do that when I myself do not know if I want to walk clear with confidence or want to sleep peacefully.
