The Ultimate Price

At seventeen I had to leave although you didn't know. You were so young, thought I just wanted to hit the road . I wasn't allowed to be near , or even watch you grow . It hurt my heart how I missed out on , so much was just not told . At nineteen , and in trouble, I just had to grow up. It was supose to be a lifetime to never be seen again,as hurt as I was to stay away,I wanted you in my life , Now because of it I'm paying the Ultimate Price . You have no desire to know me , Who I am now , because of the past mistakes I chose ,I lose out . Just know I'm proud of who you have become even though I lose out and paid the Ultimate Price.
