The Ultimate Feline
She sits in her basket
Purring gently away
Wondering why you waste your time
Running from day to day
You clean up her basket
You give her time to play
Serve her fish of salmon
And she just walks away
Licking at her fur
Watching every move
A hunter and a predator
With nothing yet to prove
She teases your dog
But doesn’t make a sound
She simply walks slowly
Past the window by the ground
And here she plays the victim
So settled in her ways
She keeps you in amazement
Intrigues you with her gaze
She cuddles when she is lonely
And wanders for days alone
Through the streets she creeps along
A place she often roams
She smiles as you walk past
She looks into your eyes
Cunning and so feminine
She has you hypnotized
And though you call her pet
And stroke upon her back
It’s you that is the slave
And she that is the cat
