The Ugly Pebble

Gazing upon the long and winding path of life One may find an ugly pebble that causes strife Jagged and mossy, the rock seems out of place One has to fight the urge to move it from its space But when looking at the path from a wider stance One can see it has been placed there by simple chance For the ugly pebble can do nothing but be compared To the hundreds of thousands beside it unimpaired (dedicated to the one "ugly pebble" in my life who is not only insignificant but also, as of today, impotent)
