The Truth Utters a Verdict
slide me into a flight suit
shoot me somersaulting
to the stars as I cushion
in ether, to wait,
a solitary orb
dimming
spiked with steel
Fates hand took hold,
she the keeper of answers
secretly and slowly,
spun the arms of time
and found the key
to a treasure
we thought,
we had been patient
until Science and Religion
made a pact with fate
my Pandora’s box is opening
and I may just shoot to the stars
