The Truth of Consequences

Have you ever
caught someone you love
in a lie that they whispered
suddenly
a lifetime of conversations
past and present
are no longer
and can no longer be
the same again
 …..ever

so much history
cast to the wind
for so little
a promise once forgotten
become’s unforgettable
the difference between
 a lie that you hear
and the truth

is every thing
you ever were
…..forever

Have you ever
been caught
by someone you love
in a lie that you whispered
suddenly
a lifetime of dreams
present and future
will never be
and can never be
 the same again
…..ever

so much future
lost to the wind
for so little
a covenant once vanquished
becomes unforgiveable
the difference between
a lie that you tell
and the truth

is everything
you will never be
…..forever

So many lies, pointless lies to the most hurtful lies..yes the past becomes a void of meaninglessness and the future forever never to befullfilled....got me straight in the heart with this one...great work Michael...Allie
