The Truth of Consequences

Have you ever
caught someone you  love
in a lie that they whispered 
suddenly
a lifetime of conversations
past and present
are no longer 
and can no longer be 
the same again
 …..ever

so much history
cast to the wind
for so little
a promise once forgotten
become’s unforgettable
the difference between
 a lie that you hear
and the truth

is every thing 
you ever were
…..forever

Have you ever
